Information about Cookies

Following the entry into force of the regulatory amendment of the “Law on Information Society Services” (LSSICE) established by Royal Decree 13/2012, it is mandatory to obtain the explicit consent of users for all websites that use non-essential cookies, before they browse them.

What are cookies?

Cookies and other similar technologies such as local shared objects, flash cookies or pixels, are tools used by web servers to store and retrieve information about their visitors, as well as to ensure the proper functioning of the site.
We use our own and third-party cookies to improve our services, personalise our website, facilitate user navigation, provide you with a better experience when using the website, identify issues in order to improve it, take measurements and usage statistics and display advertising related to your preferences through the analysis of website use.

Consent

We inform you that we may use cookies on your device provided that you have given your consent, except in cases where cookies are necessary for navigation of our website. In the event that you give your consent, we may use cookies that allow us to obtain more information about your preferences and customise our website according to your individual interests.
Depending on their duration, cookies can be:
  • Session cookies: These are a type of cookie designed to collect and store data while the user accesses a website. These cookies are not stored on the user's computer when the session expires or the browser is closed.
  • Persistent cookies: These are a type of cookie in which the data remains stored on the user's computer and can be accessed and processed when the user leaves the website and when they revisit it. These cookies can be deleted by the user at any time.
  • Depending on the entity managing them:
  • Own cookies: These are those that are sent to the user’s terminal from a device or domain managed by the owner of the website and from which the service requested by the user is provided.
  • Third-party cookies: These are those that are sent to the user’s terminal from a device or domain that is not managed by the owner of the website from which the service requested by the user is provided, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies. Furthermore, if the cookies are installed from a device or domain managed by the website owner but the information collected through them is managed by a third party, they will also be considered third-party cookies.
  • Depending on the use of each cookie:
We can differentiate between Required Cookies: these are strictly necessary cookies such as, for example, those that allow proper browsing or that allow payment for goods or services requested by the user or cookies that ensure the content of the website loads efficiently.
Within the category of Required Cookies, there may also be cookies for the following purposes:
  • Only allowing communication between the user's equipment and the network.
  • Strictly providing a service expressly requested by the user.
  • In these two cases, we inform you that user information and consent is not required for the installation of these cookies. Specifically, according to the EU Expert Working Group, in Article 29 of its Opinion 4/20123, it has interpreted that the cookies exempted would include those aimed at:
  • “User input” cookies
  • Authentication or user identification cookies (session only)
  • User security cookies
  • Multimedia player session cookies
  • Load balancing session cookies
  • User interface customisation cookies
  • Plug-in cookies for sharing social content
  • For all other Required Cookies not included in the previous cases, prior information and user consent will be required.
    According to their purpose:
  • Technical cookies. These allow the user to browse through a website, platform or application and use the different options or services that exist in it, such as controlling data traffic and communication, identifying the session, accessing restricted access areas, remembering the items of an order, carrying out the purchase process of an order, making the request for registration or participation in an event, using security elements during navigation, storing contents for video or sound broadcasting or sharing content through social networks.
  • Geolocation cookies. These are used to determine where a user is located when requesting a service. This cookie is anonymous and is used, for example, to provide you with the appropriate information depending on the country you are in.
  • Customisation cookies. These allow the user to access the service with some general characteristics that are predefined based on a set of criteria on the user's device such as language, the type of browser used to access the service, the regional configuration from where the service is accessed, etc.
  • Analytics cookies. These allow those responsible for them to monitor and analyse user behaviour on the websites to which they are linked. The information collected through this type of cookie is used to measure website activity, platforms or applications and to create browsing profiles of the users of those websites, platforms or applications, in order to introduce improvements based on the analysis of usage data made by users.
  • Advertising cookies. These allow for the most efficient management possible of the advertising spaces on the website, adapting the content of the advertisement to the content of the requested service or to the use made of our website.
  • Behavioural advertising cookies. These allow, in the most efficient manner possible, the management of the advertising spaces on the website. These cookies store information about users’ behaviour obtained through continuous observation of their browsing habits, which allows the development of a specific profile to show advertising according to it.
  • External social network cookies: used so visitors can interact with the content of different social platforms (facebook, youtube, twitter, linkedIn, etc..) and are generated only for users of those social networks. The conditions of use of these cookies and the information collected are governed by the privacy policy of the respective social platform.
  • Acceptance of Cookies on our Platform

Law 34/2002, of 11 July, on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (hereinafter, LSSICE), in relation to cookies, requires that users be informed prior to browsing on the platform about the use, type and purpose of cookies. That is why we have implemented an information notice that is displayed when you access our platform, informing you clearly and in advance, complying with the legal requirement.
It is important that you note this notice provides two options: the first allows you to access this information document, and the second lets you accept the installation of cookies on your device.
As a user, if you ignore the acceptance of the use of cookies and continue to browse on our platform, we will understand that you fully and unreservedly accept the “Cookie Policy” and that you give your unequivocal consent for all the cookies indicated in the “cookies used on the website” section to be downloaded to your device (personal computer, mobile, PDA, Tablet, etc.), thus complying with LSSICE requirements.

Authorisation for the Use of Cookies

In accordance with the cookie notice appearing on the website, the user may expressly consent to the use of cookies that require consent; however, the use of technical or necessary cookies does not require consent. Notwithstanding all this, the user can modify their browser settings to refuse the use of cookies.
